Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 November 2026

AFI Distribution respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect through afi-d.com (the “Website”), why we use it, with whom we may share it, and how you can exercise your rights.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The Website is operated by AFI Distribution (“AFI Distribution”, “we”, “us” or “our”), acting as the controller of personal data collected through the Website.

Contact address: Hercegovačka 21, 11000 Belgrade, Serbia
Email: info@afi-d.com
Website: https://afi-d.com/

2. Personal data we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Business contact details: your name, job title, company, business email address, telephone number and country.
  • Business and project information: company registration details submitted in partner applications; product interests; project requirements; expected infrastructure, deployment scope and service needs.
  • Communications: messages, requests and other information you choose to send us through Website forms, email or other communication channels.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, access timestamps, requested pages and security or diagnostic logs generated when you use the Website.
  • Marketing preferences: whether and when you have consented to receive marketing messages, and any later withdrawal or unsubscribe request.

Please do not send passwords, private keys or sensitive personal information through general enquiry forms.

3. Purposes and legal bases for processing

We use personal data only for defined business purposes and where a lawful basis applies:

  • Responding to enquiries: contacting you about a request, arranging a demonstration or proof of concept, preparing a proposal, and discussing products, services or partnerships. We rely, as applicable, on steps taken at your request before entering into a contract or our legitimate interest in managing business enquiries.
  • Providing products and services: managing orders, licences, support, partner relationships and other contractual activities where necessary for a contract.
  • Legal compliance: maintaining records and responding to lawful requests where required by applicable law.
  • Website operation and security: maintaining availability, preventing abuse and investigating technical incidents on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure Website.
  • Marketing communications: sending information about our products, services, offers and events where you have given the required prior consent or another applicable legal basis permits the communication.

4. Newsletters, promotional messages and unsubscribing

AFI Distribution may send you newsletters and other marketing communications about new products and services, special offers, webinars, professional events, educational materials and company news, provided that we have obtained any consent required by applicable law.

You can withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time, free of charge, by using the unsubscribe link in a marketing email (where provided) or by emailing info@afi-d.com with the subject “Unsubscribe”. We will stop sending you marketing communications after processing your request.

Submitting a contact, demo, pricing or partner form does not, by itself, mean that you have agreed to receive promotional mailings. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending non-promotional messages necessary to handle an existing request, transaction or contractual relationship.

5. Who may receive your data

We may provide relevant information, only as necessary for the purposes described above, to:

  • our authorised employees and representatives;
  • providers of hosting, email, customer relationship management, security and other technical services who process data on our behalf;
  • technology vendors, authorised resellers or integration partners involved in a demonstration, quotation, licence fulfilment, support or project delivery, where appropriate for your request; and
  • public authorities or other recipients where disclosure is legally required.

We do not sell personal contact information. Where service providers process data for us, we require appropriate confidentiality and data-protection safeguards.

6. International data transfers

Depending on the location of our business partners and service providers, some personal data may be processed outside Serbia. When a transfer is subject to legal restrictions, we apply the safeguards or other lawful transfer mechanism required by the applicable data-protection rules.

7. How long we keep information

We retain information for no longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including handling enquiries and reasonable follow-up, managing ongoing business relationships, maintaining security, and satisfying applicable legal or accounting obligations. We keep marketing subscription information until consent is withdrawn or it is no longer needed for that purpose. After an opt-out, we may retain minimal suppression information so that we do not contact you again for marketing. Retention periods are reviewed by reference to the relevant purpose, last meaningful interaction and applicable legal requirements.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

The Website may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for its basic operation, security or form functionality. If non-essential analytics or advertising technologies are used, we will provide the relevant information and obtain consent where required by law. You can manage cookies through your browser settings and, where available, the Website’s cookie preferences.

9. Your data-protection rights

Subject to applicable law and any relevant exceptions, you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability where applicable, or object to particular processing. You may object to direct marketing at any time. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

To exercise your rights or ask a privacy question, contact info@afi-d.com. We may ask you for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection authority, including the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Serbia, where applicable.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the information to protect personal data from unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure. No transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our processing activities, Website features or legal requirements. The current version will be published on this page, with its latest revision date.
