A PostgreSQL-compatible database for enterprise and regulated systems

Quant.Hybrid is an object-relational DBMS compatible with PostgreSQL at the level of the network protocol, stored procedures and drivers. This means administrators keep working with the tools they already know, and applications move to a new platform without rewriting their database calls — no vendor lock-in through a proprietary dialect.

It is worth considering if you are consolidating workloads onto a platform you control, reducing dependence on a single supplier, modernising a PostgreSQL-based application, or building a database environment for regulated data that must stay on your own infrastructure.

Key capabilities

  • transactional tabular data;
  • JSON, XML, graphs and key-value in one system;
  • operation on Linux, across a range of distributions;
  • horizontal scaling by adding nodes;
  • performance and fault-tolerance tuning tools;
  • more than 200 metrics for monitoring;
  • compatibility with applications in the PostgreSQL ecosystem;
  • encryption for data at rest and in transit;
  • ready migration scenarios from open-source and commercial DBMS platforms.

The platform is designed for deployment on premises or in a private cloud, so data, indexes and configuration stay inside a perimeter you control. For environments with sovereignty, residency or audit obligations, the database can run fully air-gapped, with no dependency on external cloud services for operation or licensing.

Typical tasks

  • replace PostgreSQL or another DBMS in an application system;
  • move regulated or personal data onto a database you operate yourself;
  • migrate while keeping PostgreSQL drivers and the team's existing competencies;
  • consolidate mixed data workloads — relational, document, graph — on one platform;
  • protect data on disk with encryption and controlled access.

PoC and migration

A pilot starts with a load profile: data size, number of connections, critical queries, RPO/RTO and any regulatory or residency requirements. We then deploy a stand, transfer a representative schema and run functional and load tests.

AFI helps agree the migration plan, select the software and hardware configuration, bring in the vendor and document the comparison results. For a production migration we plan backup, rollback and a parallel-run period separately — so the switch happens in a controlled way, not "all at once".

Arrange a technical demonstration or request migration and infrastructure sizing.

Validate the solution before procurement

You do not need a finished specification. Describe the requirement and infrastructure to plan a demo, define PoC criteria or prepare an initial estimate.
